Why does my Audi A5 make a grinding noise when I turn the steering wheel?

I've noticed that when I turn my steering wheel, there is a noticeable grinding noise coming from my Audi A5. It seems to be more prevalent when I turn right. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

It's possible that your power steering fluid level is low, causing the grinding noise when turning. You can check the fluid level and top it off if necessary. If the noise persists, it may be a problem with the power steering pump or steering rack. You should have it checked by a mechanic.

I had a similar issue with my Audi A5 and it turned out to be a problem with the wheel bearings. Check to see if there is any play or looseness in the wheels. If so, you may need to have the bearings replaced.

The grinding noise could also be caused by worn or damaged CV joints. These are responsible for transferring power from the transmission to the wheels. If they are damaged, it can create a grinding noise when turning. Have a mechanic check your CV joints and replace them if necessary.
