Why does my Audi A3's engine make a clicking noise at startup?

My Audi A3 has recently started making a clicking noise when I start the engine. It only happens when the car has been sitting for a few hours, but once I start it and drive for a few minutes, the noise goes away. What could be causing this and should I be concerned?

The clicking noise at startup is likely due to a faulty valve or lifter in the engine. If it goes away after a few minutes, it may not be a major issue, but it's still worth getting it checked out by a mechanic to prevent any potential damage.

I had the same issue with my Audi A3 and it turned out to be a loose belt. Make sure to have your mechanic check the belts and tensioners to see if that's the cause of the clicking noise.
