Why does my Audi A3 make a strange whirring noise when I accelerate?

I've noticed that my Audi A3 makes a strange whirring or buzzing noise when I accelerate. It only happens when I press down on the accelerator pedal, and it seems to be coming from around the front or middle of the car. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It's possible that the noise is coming from a failing wheel bearing. Over time, the bearings can wear out and produce a whirring or buzzing noise as they struggle to keep the wheel turning smoothly. It's important to get this checked out and replaced if necessary, as driving with a bad wheel bearing can be dangerous.
