Why does my Audi A3 make a strange noise when I accelerate?

I recently noticed a strange rattling noise coming from my Audi A3 when I accelerate. It seems to be coming from the engine or exhaust. Has anyone else experienced this issue and know what could be causing it?

It is possible that your catalytic converter is malfunctioning. This can cause a rattling noise when accelerating. I recommend taking your car to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis.

Check your exhaust system for any loose or damaged parts. This can also cause a rattling noise. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself, take your car to a reputable mechanic for a proper inspection.

I had a similar issue with my Audi A3 and it turned out to be a faulty heat shield. The heat shield is a small metal plate that protects the exhaust and can sometimes get loose, causing a rattling noise. A quick trip to the mechanic can fix this issue.
