Why does my Audi A3 have engine heating issues?

I recently noticed that my Audi A3's engine takes longer than usual to warm up, even during short trips. This has me concerned as it can impact the car's overall performance and efficiency. What could be causing this and how can I address it?

Based on your description, it could be an issue with the car's thermostat. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent the engine from reaching its optimal operating temperature, causing it to run colder than needed.

Check your coolant levels and see if they need to be topped up. Low coolant levels can also affect the engine's heat distribution and should be addressed immediately.

I had a similar issue with my Audi A3 and it turned out to be a faulty heater core. If your car is blowing cold air even after the engine is warmed up, have the heater core inspected and replaced if necessary.
