Why does my Audi A2's engine make a knocking noise after driving for a while?

I've noticed that after driving my Audi A2 for about 30 minutes, the engine starts to make a knocking noise. It seems to get worse when I accelerate. What could be causing this?

It's possible that your engine oil is low or dirty, causing the knocking noise. I recommend checking your oil levels and changing it if necessary. Additionally, it's important to use the correct type of oil for your Audi A2 to prevent further issues.

Another possible cause could be worn or damaged engine components, particularly the bearings. It's best to have a mechanic inspect your engine to determine the exact cause of the knocking noise.

If your Audi A2 has a turbocharger, the knocking noise could be due to a faulty wastegate or wastegate actuator. This can cause a loss of boost pressure and affect engine performance. Have a professional diagnose and repair any issues with the turbocharger.
