Why does my Audi A2 keep beeping when I start the engine?

I recently purchased a used Audi A2 and have noticed that it beeps three times every time I start the engine. The beeping stops after a few seconds and everything seems to be running fine, but I'm not sure if this is normal or if there is a problem I need to address.

This is a common feature in Audi A2 models and is simply a reminder for you to fasten your seatbelt. Once you buckle up, the beeping should stop.
