Why does my Audi 80 sound different when I start it?

I've noticed that my Audi 80 makes a different sound whenever I start it up, compared to other cars I've owned. It's a bit more pronounced and lasts for a few seconds. Is this something to worry about or just a normal quirk of the car?

This is completely normal for the Audi 80. The sound you hear is the secondary air injection pump system, which is used to reduce emissions during start-up. Nothing to worry about here, just another unique feature of the car!

I have an Audi 80 myself and experienced the same thing when I first got it. It's just the way the car is designed. As long as it doesn't last for more than a few seconds and there are no warning lights on the dashboard, everything should be fine.
