Why does my Audi 80 shake when I brake at high speeds?

Recently, I noticed that my Audi 80 starts to shake when I hit the brakes at high speeds (above 60mph). It feels like the whole car is vibrating and it's quite alarming. The shaking stops as soon as I release the brake pedal. Has anyone experienced this issue before?

It sounds like your brake rotors might be warped. This can happen when they get too hot and cool down unevenly. You should have them checked and possibly replaced by a mechanic.

Make sure your tires are properly balanced and aligned. Out-of-balance tires can cause vibrations, especially at higher speeds. It's a good idea to get them checked and rotated regularly.

Check your brake pads for wear and tear. If they are worn down, that could be causing the shakiness when you brake. Have them replaced if necessary.
