Why does my Audi 80's engine keep stalling during cold starts?

I have a 1995 Audi 80 with 150k miles and every time I start it up on a cold morning, the engine stalls shortly after. This doesn't happen during warm starts or when the engine has been running for a while. Any ideas what could be the cause?
