Why does my Audi 80 make a loud squealing noise when I brake?

I've noticed that my Audi 80 makes a loud and high-pitched squealing noise whenever I brake. It seems to be coming from the front of the car and it's been getting progressively worse. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

It sounds like your brake pads may be worn out. Brake pads have a small metal indicator that will start to make noise when the pads are nearing the end of their lifespan. It's important to get this checked out and replaced as soon as possible for your safety and to prevent further damage to your brakes.

It's possible that there is debris or dirt stuck in your brake calipers, which can cause a squealing noise. Try cleaning out your brakes and see if the noise improves. If not, you may need to take it in to a mechanic for a more thorough inspection.
