Why does my Audi 80 make a grinding noise when braking at high speeds?

I recently purchased a used Audi 80 and have noticed that when I brake at high speeds, there is a loud grinding noise coming from the brakes. It doesn't happen when I brake at low speeds. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It is likely that the brake pads and rotors need to be replaced. This is a common issue with older Audi 80 models. It is important to have this fixed as soon as possible, as it can affect the overall performance and safety of your car.

Make sure to have your mechanic check the bearings as well. If they are worn out or damaged, they can also cause a grinding noise when braking. Replacing the bearings may be necessary in addition to changing the brake pads and rotors.
