Why does my Audi 80 make a clicking noise when I turn the ignition?

I recently bought a used Audi 80 and noticed that it makes a clicking noise when I turn the ignition. It starts up fine and drives smoothly, but the clicking noise is concerning. Can anyone explain what could be causing this and if it is a cause for concern?

It sounds like you may have a faulty starter motor. This is a common issue with older Audi 80 models and can usually be fixed by replacing the starter motor. Make sure to have it checked by a mechanic to avoid any potential future problems.
