Why do the brakes on the Audi A6 make a squealing noise when braking at high speeds?

Recently, I've noticed my Audi A6 makes a noticeable squealing noise when I apply the brakes at high speeds. The noise seems to go away when I brake at slower speeds or come to a complete stop. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

The most likely cause of the squealing noise is worn brake pads. As the pads wear down, the metal wear indicator will come into contact with the rotor, causing the noise. It's recommended to get your brake pads replaced as soon as possible to prevent further damage.
