Why do the brakes on my Audi 80 squeak when I press down on them?

I've noticed that every time I press down on the brakes of my Audi 80, they let out a high-pitched squeaking noise. Is this a common issue for Audi 80 owners, and is there a way to fix it? It's becoming quite embarrassing when I have passengers in the car.

The squeaking noise from your brakes is likely caused by a build-up of dust and debris on your brake pads. Simply removing the dust with a wire brush or using brake cleaner spray can help alleviate the squeaking. If the issue continues, it may be time to replace your brake pads.
