Why are the brakes on my Audi A1 making squeaking noises?

Recently, whenever I press down on the brake pedal, I hear a high-pitched squeaking noise coming from the wheels. What could be the cause of this and how can I fix it?

It is possible that the brake pads on your Audi A1 are worn down and need to be replaced. Brake pads should typically be replaced every 30,000-70,000 miles depending on your driving habits and vehicle model. Make sure to have a certified mechanic check the brake pads and replace them if necessary.

Another common cause of squeaking brakes is dirt or debris getting caught in the brake system. Make sure to regularly clean your wheels and brakes to prevent this issue. If the squeaking continues, it may be a sign of a more serious issue and should be checked by a mechanic.
