When should I replace the timing belt on my Audi A6?

I have a 2016 Audi A6 with 80,000 miles on it. Is it time to replace the timing belt?

According to Audi's maintenance schedule, the timing belt on your A6 should be replaced every 80,000 miles or after 6 years, whichever comes first. Given that your car is currently at 80,000 miles, it's definitely time to have it replaced.

While the official recommendation is to replace the timing belt at 80,000 miles, it's always better to err on the side of caution and have it replaced a little earlier. Don't wait until the belt breaks, as it could cause damage to your engine and end up being more expensive in the long run.

80,000 miles is a good benchmark for replacing the timing belt on your A6. However, if you have been regularly maintaining your car and haven't noticed any issues with the belt, you can wait until around 90,000 miles before getting it checked and replaced if necessary.
