What is the usual lifespan of an Audi A8's engine?

I am planning to buy a used Audi A8, but I am worried about the longevity of its engine. Can someone with experience tell me how long can I expect the engine to last and what should I watch out for to extend its lifespan?

Based on my personal experience, an Audi A8's engine can last up to 200,000 miles if you maintain it regularly. However, you need to be cautious of oil leaks and make sure to change the timing belt at the recommended interval. Also, pay attention to any unusual noises or vibrations, as they can be signs of impending engine problems.

I have owned multiple Audi A8s and can assure you that with proper maintenance and care, the engine can easily last more than 300,000 miles. Just make sure to change the oil and filters regularly, and don't ignore any warning signs from the engine. It's also a good idea to use high-quality fuel and recommended lubricants.

I have been a mechanic for over 20 years and have fixed countless Audi A8s. In my opinion, the lifespan of an engine depends on how you drive and maintain it. If you drive conservatively and follow the recommended maintenance schedule, you can easily get 250,000 miles or more out of the engine. However, if you push it hard and neglect regular maintenance, don't be surprised if it fails prematurely.
