What is the purpose of the Audi A3's Drive Select feature?

I am not sure what the Drive Select function does in my Audi A3. It's a button with different settings for comfort, efficiency, dynamic, auto, and individual. Can someone explain its purpose and when to use each setting?

I found it useful to use the Efficiency mode during rush hour traffic, as it helps reduce fuel consumption and makes the ride more comfortable. However, I switch to Dynamic mode when driving on winding roads for a more engaging and enjoyable experience.
