What is the Integrated Toll Module in the Audi A5?

I recently purchased an Audi A5 and noticed that it has an Integrated Toll Module. Can someone explain what this is and how it works?

The Integrated Toll Module, or ITM, is a system that allows you to pay tolls using your car's dashboard display. It uses a small transceiver mounted on the windshield and communicates with toll booths to automatically pay the fee.
