What is the expected life expectancy of the timing belt on an Audi A4?

I just bought a used 2016 Audi A4. My mechanic suggested I change the timing belt, but I'm not sure how long it will last on my car. I want to make sure I don't have to keep changing it every year or so. Any suggestions?

According to Audi's official website, the timing belt on your Audi A4 should be replaced every 90,000 miles or 6 years, whichever comes first.

It's always better to err on the side of caution and replace the timing belt every 60,000 miles on older models or every 80,000 miles on newer models. Protect your investment for the long run.
