What is the difference between Quattro and Ultra Quattro in Audi vehicles?

I'm wondering about the technology behind Quattro and Ultra Quattro in Audi vehicles and how it affects the driving experience and performance. Can anyone provide some insights?

Quattro refers to Audi's traditional all-wheel drive system, which distributes power 40:60 (front:rear) under normal conditions. Ultra Quattro, on the other hand, uses a switchable clutch to distribute power 60:40 (front:rear) and can disengage the rear axle entirely to save fuel. Both systems provide excellent traction and handling, but the Ultra Quattro is more fuel-efficient.

The Quattro system also uses a mechanical center differential to continuously distribute power between the front and rear axles, while the Ultra Quattro uses an electronic multi-plate clutch for quicker and more precise power distribution. Additionally, the Ultra Quattro can adjust power distribution based on driving conditions, making it more versatile for different terrains.
