What is the difference between Audi's Virtual Cockpit and MMI Touch Response system?

I am considering purchasing an Audi A8 and I am confused about the different in-car systems. Can someone explain the difference between Virtual Cockpit and MMI Touch Response?

The Virtual Cockpit is a fully digital instrument cluster that displays information such as speed, navigation, and media in one customizable display. The MMI Touch Response system, on the other hand, is the main infotainment system in the center console that controls various features through a touchscreen. Both are intuitive and user-friendly, but the Virtual Cockpit offers a more immersive experience while the MMI Touch Response is more practical for controlling multiple functions at once.

Think of the Virtual Cockpit as a high-tech replacement for traditional gauges and the MMI Touch Response as the central hub for all your vehicle's features. The Virtual Cockpit offers stunning graphics and can be configured in different layouts, while the MMI Touch Response provides easy access to navigation, media, and climate control. It's a good idea to test both systems out before making a decision.
