I just purchased a used Audi A4 and want to make sure the engine oil level is correct. What is the correct, step-by-step process to check the engine oil level on this specific model and engine?

First, ensure that the engine is cold and the car is on a level surface. Locate the oil dipstick in the engine bay, which should have a yellow handle. Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean. Reinsert the dipstick all the way back in and then remove it again to check the oil level. The oil should be between the minimum and maximum marks on the dipstick.
