I recently purchased a 2021 Audi A7 and noticed that it has a gesture control system. I'm not sure how it works and I can't seem to find any instructions in the owner's manual. Can someone explain how to use it and what gestures are supported?
ReplyThe Audi gesture control system allows you to perform certain functions without physically touching any buttons or screens in the car. To use it, simply make the corresponding gesture in front of the driver's display screen. For example, to increase the volume, swipe your hand in a clockwise motion. The gestures supported vary by model and year, so check your owner's manual for a complete list.
I found the gesture control system to be a bit finicky at first, but after some practice, it's a great feature to have. My advice is to try the gestures slowly and deliberately. Don't make any sudden or jerky movements. And make sure your hand is within the designated area in front of the screen.
To turn on the gesture control feature, go to the car's settings and select 'Driver Assistance'. Then, choose 'Gesture Control' and enable it. Keep in mind that it only works when the car is in drive and traveling at speeds between 6 and 12 mph. Also, make sure your hands are clean and not obstructed by anything.
