What is Audi's gesture control system and how do I use it?

I recently purchased a 2021 Audi A7 and noticed that it has a gesture control system. I'm not sure how it works and I can't seem to find any instructions in the owner's manual. Can someone explain how to use it and what gestures are supported?

The Audi gesture control system allows you to perform certain functions without physically touching any buttons or screens in the car.
