What can cause the engine of an Audi 80 to misfire?

I have been experiencing a misfire in my Audi 80's engine and I'm not sure what could be causing it. The car seems to be running fine otherwise. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue?

The most common cause of engine misfires in Audi 80s is worn out spark plugs. Check the spark plug wires as well, as they can also become worn or damaged over time.

Another possible cause could be a clogged fuel filter. This can prevent the proper amount of fuel from reaching the engine, leading to a misfire. Consider getting the fuel filter replaced.

A dirty or faulty mass air flow (MAF) sensor can also result in engine misfires. Try cleaning or replacing the MAF sensor to see if it resolves the issue.
