What are the most common issues with the Audi A4 transmission system?

I've heard some mixed reviews about the Audi A4's transmission system. Can't seem to pinpoint the exact issues. Can someone shed some light on this?

The most common issue with the Audi A4 transmission system is the failure of the Multitronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). This can lead to jerking, slipping or hesitation when accelerating and can be a costly repair.

Another common issue is the failure of the Mechatronic Unit, which controls the CVT. This can result in the transmission getting stuck in one gear or the vehicle failing to start.

In addition, some Audi A4 models have been known to have issues with the Dual Mass Flywheel, causing vibrations and rattling noises. It is recommended to have this component checked regularly.
