I recently purchased a first generation Audi 80 and have been experiencing some issues with the speedometer. It seems to be inaccurate and sometimes does not work at all. Has anyone else encountered similar issues and how did they resolve them?
ReplyI had a similar issue with my first gen Audi 80 and it turned out to be a faulty speed sensor. I would recommend getting it checked and possibly replaced by a certified mechanic.
I have also experienced issues with my Audi 80 speedometer. I found that resetting the instrument cluster by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery helped resolve the problem.
It could also be an issue with the speedometer cable. I had to replace mine after it got worn out and caused inaccuracies in the reading.
