I have been having issues with my MMI navigation system in my Audi A6. Every time I try to enter a destination, it freezes and shuts off. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Have you tried resetting your MMI system? Sometimes a simple reset can fix any glitches or malfunctions. Just hold down the MENU and CAR buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds until the screen goes black, then release and wait for the system to reboot.
If resetting the MMI system doesn't work, it could be a hardware issue. Check the connections and make sure everything is properly plugged in. If that doesn't solve the problem, you may need to replace the navigation unit.
