How to reset the service light in an Audi A6?

I have an Audi A6 and the service light has turned on. I want to know how to reset it myself instead of taking it to a mechanic. Can someone please provide me with a step-by-step guide?

To reset the service light in an Audi A6, you will first need to insert your car key into the ignition and turn it to the 'on' position. Next, hold down the trip odometer reset button and turn the key to the 'off' position, without removing it.
