I recently replaced my car's battery and now the immobilizer is activated, preventing me from starting the car. I have tried following the steps in the manual but it didn't work. I have a 2002 Audi 80. Does anyone know how to reset the immobilizer?
ReplyTo reset the immobilizer in your Audi 80, first make sure that all doors are closed and the key is out of the ignition. Then, manually lock and unlock the driver side door with the key and wait for 10 seconds. After that, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position for 5 seconds. The immobilizer should be reset and you should be able to start your car. Hope this helps!
Try disconnecting the negative terminal of your car's battery for 15 minutes and then reconnecting it. This should reset the immobilizer and allow you to start your car. If this doesn't work, you may need to take it to a mechanic to have them reset it with a scan tool. Best of luck!
