I recently purchased a used Audi A1 and the digital odometer does not match the physical mileage. Can anyone provide instructions on how to reset the digital odometer back to the original mileage?
ReplyFrom my experience, you will need to access the hidden menu through the instrument cluster. Press and hold the button on the right of the instrument cluster, then turn the key to the second position (ignition on) and release the button. Use the stalk to go through the menu and select 'Adaptations', then 'mileage reset'.
The digital odometer can also be reset using diagnostic software and a specialized tool. If you are not comfortable accessing the hidden menu, consider taking your car to a professional mechanic to ensure the reset is done correctly.
