Next, locate the drain plug on the transmission and place the drain pan underneath it. Unscrew the plug and let the old fluid drain out completely before replacing the plug. Then, locate the fill plug and use the fluid pump to pump in the new fluid, until it begins to overflow. Last but not least, replace the fill plug and clean up any spills or drips.
