My Audi's MMI system has been acting up recently, freezing and crashing while I'm driving. It's becoming a safety issue, as I can't control the music or navigation. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot and fix this problem?
ReplyFirstly, make sure your system is up to date with the latest software. If the issue persists, try resetting the MMI by simultaneously pressing the function buttons and the main control knob. If that doesn't work, it could be a hardware problem and you should take it to a certified mechanic for further diagnostics.
I had a similar issue and it turned out to be a faulty navigation DVD. Try removing the disc and see if the system stabilizes. If not, you can purchase updated discs from Audi or use a third-party navigation system.
Another possible solution is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes and then reconnect it. This can sometimes reset the MMI and fix any glitches.
