The driver's side seatbelt in our Audi 80 is stuck and won't allow us to pull it out or retract it. We've tried pushing the button and pulling harder, but it won't budge. Is there a way to fix this issue?
ReplyIt's possible that something is caught in the seatbelt mechanism causing it to get stuck. Try using a small tool, like a tweezer or toothpick, to gently remove any debris that may be blocking it. If this doesn't work, it may be a technical issue that requires professional repair.
Have you recently spilled any liquids on the seatbelt? If so, it's possible that the liquid has caused the mechanism to become sticky and not function properly. You can try using a mild detergent to clean the seatbelt and then fully dry it before attempting to use it again.
In some cases, the seatbelt may simply need to be reset. Look for a reset button near the seatbelt mechanism and press it while pulling on the belt. This should release any tension and allow the belt to retract properly.
