How to fix a malfunctioning turn signal on Audi 80?

My Audi 80's turn signal has suddenly stopped working. I've checked the fuse and it seems fine. What else could be causing this issue?

Check the bulbs first. They may need to be replaced. Also, check the connections to ensure they are secure.
