How to disable auto start-stop on an Audi A1?

I find the auto start-stop feature to be annoying and would like to know how to disable it on my Audi A1. Is there a way to permanently turn it off?

To disable the auto start-stop function on an Audi A1, press and hold the button located in the center console until a message appears on the dashboard that says 'Auto Start-Stop deactivated'. This should permanently disable the feature.
