How to diagnose and fix a non-functioning power window in an Audi 80?

The power window on my Audi 80 is not working. It doesn't respond to the button or switch, and I can't hear any motor sound. How can I troubleshoot and repair this issue?

First, check the fuse for the power window circuit. If it's blown, replace it and see if the window starts working. If the fuse is fine, the problem may be with the window motor or the switch. Try testing the motor with a multimeter to see if it's getting power. If not, it may need to be replaced. If the motor is getting power, the issue may be with the switch. Try replacing it and see if that solves the problem.

I had a similar issue with my Audi 80 and it turned out to be a faulty wiring harness. Check all the wiring connections for the power window system and make sure they're secure. If any wires are damaged, they may need to be repaired or replaced.

Before assuming it's a major issue, try lubricating the window tracks and mechanisms. Built-up dirt and debris can cause the window to get stuck or not move smoothly. Use a silicone-based lubricant to avoid attracting dirt.
