How to diagnose an oil leak on an Audi 80?

I'm noticing some drops of oil under my Audi 80 and I suspect there's a leak. How do I identify the source of the leak and fix it?

The first thing to do is to check the oil level and see if it's significantly low. Then, get under the car and inspect the oil pan, valve cover gasket, and oil filter for any visible leaks. If you can't spot anything, try using a dye to detect the leak.

A common culprit of oil leaks in Audi 80s is the camshaft tensioner seal. This can be fixed by replacing the seal and ensuring the camshaft is properly aligned. It's recommended to get this done by a professional mechanic.
