How to check the oil levels in my Audi A3?

I've recently purchased a used Audi A3 and I'm not sure how to properly check the oil levels. Can someone guide me through the process and also tell me which type of oil and how much is recommended for this model?

Hi Hannah! Checking the oil levels in your Audi A3 is a simple process. First, park your car on a level surface and wait for the engine to cool down. Locate the dipstick, pull it out and wipe it clean. Then, reinsert the dipstick and pull it out again. The oil level should be between the two marked lines on the dipstick. As for the type of oil, it's recommended to use a high-quality synthetic oil with a viscosity of 5W-30. The amount depends on your engine size, for a 2.0L engine it's recommended to use around 4.5 liters.
