How often should the brake fluid be changed in an Audi A4?

I recently bought a 2018 Audi A4 and I want to make sure I am properly maintaining it. How often should I have the brake fluid changed and what are the consequences of not doing so?

Based on Audi's recommendation, the brake fluid should be changed every 2 years or 20,000 miles. However, if you often drive in stop-and-go traffic or on hilly terrain, it is recommended to change it more frequently, around every 1 year or 10,000 miles.
