How does the start-stop system work on the Audi R8?

I heard that the Audi R8 has a start-stop system. Can someone explain to me how this system works and if it can be turned on or off?

The start-stop system on the Audi R8 is designed to save fuel and reduce emissions by automatically turning off the engine when the vehicle is stopped in traffic or at a red light. It can be turned on or off through the MMI system in the car settings.

The start-stop system uses a sensor to detect when the car is stopped and when the brake pedal is pressed, it turns off the engine. When the brake pedal is released, the engine restarts. It can be turned off if desired through the MMI system in the car settings.
