The updated Quattro system on the Audi A5 now uses a self-locking center differential, which adjusts power distribution between the front and rear wheels to optimize handling and stability in any situation. It also features a new torque vectoring system that can individually brake specific wheels for improved cornering.

While the previous Quattro system was always engaged and divided power 40:60 between front and rear, the new Quattro system on the Audi A5 is able to disconnect the rear wheels completely when not needed for better fuel efficiency. It reconnects within milliseconds when necessary.

The new Quattro system also boasts an improved multi-plate clutch design, which can distribute power to each individual wheel as needed for better traction and control. Combined with the updated electronic stability control, it makes for a more dynamic driving experience on the Audi A5.
