How does the Audi A8's Traffic Jam Assist technology work?

I'm looking to buy an Audi A8 and noticed a feature called Traffic Jam Assist. Can someone please explain how it works and its limitations?

Traffic Jam Assist uses a combination of sensors and cameras to detect and automatically adjust the car's speed and lane positioning in congested traffic. It can greatly reduce driver fatigue while stuck in traffic, but keep in mind it is not meant for hands-free driving and requires the driver to still pay attention and be ready to take control if needed.

With Traffic Jam Assist, the Audi A8 can maintain a set distance from the car in front of it and even come to a complete stop, if necessary. As long as the driver keeps their hands on the steering wheel and remains alert, the car will do the rest. It's a useful feature in heavy traffic, but don't rely on it in all driving situations.

As someone who has used the Traffic Jam Assist feature frequently, I can attest to its effectiveness in reducing stress and fatigue during long commutes. However, I have noticed that it may struggle in certain situations such as rapidly changing traffic patterns or construction zones.
