How does Audi A7's adaptive cruise control work?

I am considering purchasing an Audi A7 and I have heard about its adaptive cruise control feature. Can someone explain how it works and if it is worth the extra cost?

The adaptive cruise control in an Audi A7 uses radar sensors to maintain a constant distance from the vehicle in front of you. It can also bring the car to a complete stop and then continue on when the car in front moves. Personally, I find it extremely useful for long highway trips when there is a lot of traffic. It takes away the stress of constantly having to brake and accelerate.

I have the adaptive cruise control in my Audi A7 and I have found it to be a great tool for safe and efficient driving. It can sense when the car in front of you is slowing down and will adjust your speed accordingly. It also has a feature where you can set the distance between you and the car in front, allowing you to maintain a safe following distance.
