How do you reset the MMI system on an Audi A8?

I am having issues with my MMI system and would like to reset it. Can anyone provide instructions on how to do this correctly?

To reset the MMI system on an Audi A8, first turn off the vehicle, then press and hold the MMI control knob and the top right button simultaneously for about 10 seconds.
