How do the traction control systems on the Audi A3 work in different driving conditions?

I am particularly interested in the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) systems. How do these systems react and adapt to different driving conditions, such as wet or icy roads?

The ESC system uses numerous sensors to monitor the vehicle's movement and stability. In wet or icy conditions, the system will automatically reduce engine power or apply brakes to individual wheels to help prevent loss of traction. Additionally, the EDL system uses sensors to detect wheelspin and selectively applies the brakes to specific wheels to improve traction on slippery surfaces.

E

In wet or icy conditions, the ESC system will also adjust the throttle response and transmission shift points to help maintain control. The EDL system works together with the ESC system to provide balanced and precise control on uneven or slippery roads.

D

The ESC system on the Audi A3 is also able to detect and adjust for different types of driving, such as sporty or eco-friendly driving. This allows for a more customizable and optimized driving experience in all conditions.
