How do I use the Audi e-Tron regenerative braking system?

I recently purchased an Audi e-Tron and I am curious about how the regenerative braking system works. Is it automatically activated or do I need to use a specific button? How does it differ from traditional braking systems?

The Audi e-Tron regenerative braking system is automatically activated when you release the accelerator pedal. It uses the energy from braking to recharge the battery and improve efficiency. Think of it as a natural way to brake, without having to press down on the brake pedal as hard.

To use the regenerative braking system in manual mode, press the brake button on the center console. This allows you to control the strength of the braking and can come in handy for steep descents or in stop-and-go traffic. However, the automatic mode is usually sufficient for everyday driving.

Compared to traditional braking systems, the Audi e-Tron regenerative braking system is able to capture a larger amount of energy while decelerating, which saves wear and tear on the brake pads and increases overall efficiency. It also provides a smoother and more natural braking experience.
