I recently purchased an Audi A6 and noticed that it has a Start-Stop System. Although it is designed to improve fuel efficiency, I find it annoying. Is there any way to turn it off permanently?
ReplyTo turn off the Start-Stop System on your Audi A6, press the drive select button located on the center console. This will bring up a menu on your instrument cluster screen. Scroll down to the 'Efficiency' option and select it. From here, you can then select 'Comfort' mode, which will disable the Start-Stop System.
If you prefer a more permanent solution, you can have your Audi dealer disable the Start-Stop System through coding. This will completely turn off the system and prevent it from turning back on. Keep in mind, however, that this may void your vehicle's warranty.
