How do I turn off automatic engine stop in my Audi A1?

I recently bought an Audi A1 and have noticed that the engine automatically shuts off when I come to a complete stop, such as at a traffic light. How can I disable this feature?

To turn off the automatic engine stop feature, locate the 'Auto Start-Stop' button on the center console next to the gear shift. Simply press this button to disable the feature and the engine will no longer shut off when coming to a complete stop.

If you want to temporarily disable the automatic engine stop feature, push down and hold the brake pedal while the vehicle is in park. The feature will remain off until the next time you turn off the engine.
